If you're looking for bonefish from Miami down to the Marquesas Islands, you have about 321,000 to choose from


The University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science held the sixth annual Florida Keys bonefish census, in conjunction with the conservation group Bonefish & Tarpon Unlimited (BTU), which involved 64 professional fishing guides, scientists and graduate students split up among 19 zones, covering 1,575 square miles.

Bluefin tuna - magnificent fish too valuable to save


Tucked away out of sight of the eyes of the world in Marrakech this week, the   EU played some of the dirtiest tricks imaginable to outflank a proposal by   the United States to cut catches of bluefin to the upper limit that   scientists said was justifiable, 15,000 tons.

Instead, a greedy mob of countries led by the EU pushed through a proposal to   set quotas at 22,000 tons, 50 per cent higher than scientific advice.  LINK (Via:The Telegraph)

The public is requested to report all incidents of persons violating the fisheries regulations to the Department of Marine Resources or to the nearest office of the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
