Little Bitch Creek

Little Bitch Creek
(to "Little Deuce Coup")

Well, I ain't braggin' now, so don't put me down,
But I've got the best multi-purpose nymph that's around.
She drifts like a salmon fly. She strips like a dace.
She'll bring the trout zippin' from all over the place.
She's my little Bitch Creek. You don't know what I've got.

When the early summer run-off seems to bring on the urge
For Pterernarchis Californica nymphs to emerge,
They stick out their legs and grab onto the banks,
And I've got the perfect imitation tied to my shank.
She's my little Bitch Creek. You don't know what I've got.

Well, she's got dark hackles and she's made of chenille.
She's black on the back and woven gold at the keel.
She's so seductive with her white rubber legs,
And she don't catch nothin' but big fish, Daddy.

She works on the Gallatin, the Madison too--
The Henry's Fork, the Yellowstone, the upper Missou.
In the summer, you can drift her right over their heads.
In the winter, you can drop her down and wrap her with lead.
She's my little Bitch Creek. You don't know what I've got.
