The bar has officially been reset for July: Update SOM Winner

Guide Ken Beatty landed this 62 pound monster a couple of weeks ago in the Charlottes of coastal B.C.

Update: Beatty unpredictably swoops in for the glory - unceremoniously displacing Bacon's (of Buster Wants to Fish) sweetheart of a Dean River king.

Side note: This untalented writer learned a valuable lesson this month.  Upon Bacon's submission, I prematurely forecasted his SOM victory - stating "I'd administer a jab to my own junk if his King didn't take the prize."  As promised, the picture below demonstrates my sheepish crow-eating session.  Whodathunk there'd be a bigger King brought to the Moldy Chum vault o' porn.  Never underestimate the Chum nation.  Also, yes, that is new ink on my right arm.  Inspired by Derek DeYoung's art, I decided to painfully capture the mastery of one of his abstract Brown pieces.
